A few notes on the 2026 editions. The Cox Plate is set for Saturday 24 October at Flemington, the first time the race has left The Valley, because Moonee Valley is being rebuilt. The Australian Open ran at Melbourne Park from 12 January to 1 February, and the AFL Grand Final was played at the MCG on Saturday 26 September. State of Origin went to Accor Stadium in Sydney on 27 May, the MCG on 17 June and Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 8 July. The NRL season opened in Las Vegas on 28 February local time and wraps up with the grand final on 4 October.

The ID window shrank in stages: 90 days, then 14, then 72 hours, and since September 2023 the check has to be finished before you can place a bet at all.
